About the Company

The Office Of Angela Scott designs and crafts an entirely unique women’s shoe. Making workwear or fashion wear doesn’t do the brand justice. The founder, Angela Scott, heads a team of all women and is on a mission reimagining what means to be a woman in the workplace. Angela Scott came to Compass + Nail looking to break out of the industry mold that defined the women’s boutique shoe business but had no idea what to do or how to do it. The concept of her brand was not yet fully formed nor was there a scalable business model in place.

Our Partnership

The Office of Angela Scott shoes are built to last. Like bespoke men’s footwear, her shoes are Goodyear welted and only get better with age. Her designs empower women from the ground up, giving them a sense of self, enabling their own expression, their own style, and in certain terms the means to own their sexuality in an otherwise male dominated workplace. Angie’s shoes aren’t your starter patent leather lawyer pumps, they are an attitude all themselves, which aligns with a customer that values her own ability to self-express and own her own world.

Strategy Focus

Compass + Nail defined the Loyalty Architecture as well as wrote the operational Brand Loyalty Business Plan that included a new brand articulation, re-architecture of the website, optimized automated emails, a new distribution strategy, establishment of brand equity metrics, and a new communication strategy and editorial calendar. The direction steered away from Angie’s DIY punk-rock past and on to professional female empowerment one foot at a time.

Demonstrated Impact

The results were game-changing. The company has scaled from a fledgling startup to revenue in the 8-figures with 3x year-over-year growth. Not only is the business scaling profitably, the brand has completely changed the perception of professional women’s workwear across the industry. Shoes that are not only comfortable but stylish, design-focused, and constructed to stand the test of time.
